At the beginning of Term 2, East Waikiki implemented a Good Standing program to encourage and reward students who consistently followed school rules and expectations, and kept their attendance at an acceptable percentage. We now have all students and classes from Year 3 – 6 following this program, and students have received rewards regularly if they have kept their Good Standing points, and continued to attend school at 95%.
To achieve Good Standing a student must keep their good standing points above 20, and their attendance, with parent notifications, above 95%. Students who fall below one, or both of these expectations are not be invited to the Good Standing activity. Good Standing cycles start again immediately and all students once again begin working towards a new reward activity.
