Principal’s update 12th September

Kaya Wanjoo (hello and welcome) to everyone.

As we head into the last fortnight of Term 3, it’s a very good time to acknowledge the work and success of our new P&C. They are wonderful advocates for our school, and they always have our students first in their thinking. The P&C Father’s Day Stall was a clear success and I know they have some great events planned for Term 4.

Fathers and Father Figures – make sure you keep an ear out for the announcement of our Fathering Project event for Term 4. It is sure to be very popular!

A big THANK YOU to all of our students and staff for making our in-term swimming classes so successful this term. I received many comments from parents, teachers, swimming instructors and centre staff about how well behaved and engaged our students were. So, well done!

Parents, please make sure you have picked up an enrolment package if you are planning to enrol your child at Kindy with us for next year. Places are filling fast!

Year 6 parents MUST enrol their child in a high school as soon as possible. We can assist with reports or some documents, but you must reach out to the high school for their enrolment information. Students in our school catchment area, are expected to attend Safety Bay Senior High School, unless you have enrolled, and been accepted into a specialist program at another high school.

Please remember that students start with us on the first day of Term 4 as we are having our School Development Day on Friday, 24th November (Week 7)

Still to come this term:
– Thursday 14th September – RUOK? Day. We are celebrating friendship all week with activities in classes.
– Friday 15th September – Great Veggie Crunch – 8.50am
– Wednesday 20th September – Faction Athletics Carnival
– Friday 22nd September – Book Week Parade and last day of term.

Enjoy the remainder of the term and boordawan (I’ll see you soon),

Sam Prodonovich
Principal
