Positive Behaviour Expectations

At East Waikiki Primary School, we use the Positive Behaviour in Schools (PBIS) model of behaviour reinforcement as part of our everyday teaching and learning. The philosophy is that the praise that we give to students for positive behaviour should far outweigh any negative reactions and consequences for misbehaviour. It is all linked closely to the qualities of our four EWPS behaviour expectations, which are:

  • Equality and Fairness
  • Willingness to Learn
  • Pride in Self and School
  • Self Control
